We Miss You! Have a wonderful day!

We are trying to fine-tune tomorrow’s (Tuesday, March 31st) process for parents to pick up this week’s AMI packets and drop off their students’ completed packets for the week of March 16th. IF you can receive this week’s packets electronically, please let your child’s teacher know. You may also send the work back to us electronically. Email any of your student’s teachers for assistance.
IF you want/need a hardcopy then our school will be open tomorrow (Tuesday, March 31st) from 7:30 am-3:30 pm. When you enter our High School go to each of your student’s classrooms. You can pick up your weekly AMI copies at each of our teacher’s classroom doors. There will also be an empty container there where you can drop off your student’s completed packet from the week of March 16th. PLEASE REMEMBER TO STAY 6 FEET AWAY FROM OTHERS. AND, ONLY ONE PERSON PER FAMILY SHOULD COME INTO THE BUILDING.
Our teachers have worked hard to try to make these packets a reasonable amount that students can do with limited instruction. Please encourage your child to do the best they can but we don’t want our students or you to stress out over what we have asked your child to do. However, we will be checking each student’s work to give credit for completing their work. IF you have any questions or concerns you may email or DoJo your child’s classroom teacher OR call our office at 501-262-2414 Option 2.
IF you have requested a Chromebook either through your child's classroom teacher OR our office, the Chromebook will be ready for you to sign-out in front of our office. We will need you to please sign for those because we will be required to account for each of those.
Based on feedback from parents and teachers, we will be doing a Tuesday to Tuesday pick up and drop off. Therefore, you will NOT need to drop off your child’s completed packet for this week until Tuesday, April 7th.
Report cards for the third nine weeks will be mailed to each student’s home address at the end of this week. Please be watching for those,
Breakfast and lunch meals for students will continue this week on Monday-Friday. Pick up will be from 9:30-11:30 am in front of our cafeteria. We will also continue our meal delivery for our students who need those delivered.
Thank you for your patience and understanding (and prayers) as we try to figure out how to continue to provide home based instruction for all of our students. We want to be as flexible and accommodating as possible so please let us know how we can make this process work better for your family. Take care and stay well!

CMS update regarding covid-19.

I am sure most of you have heard the Governor has closed schools until April 17th. We certainly do not have all the answers but your student’s safety, security, health and education is our focus. The administrative team will be meeting tomorrow to review our plans for continuing to serve our students and community. Again please contact the offices if you need food assistance or have any other concerns. We are here to help. We will be getting more information out to you tomorrow. Thank you for your continued support.

ACT Test scheduled for April 4th has been rescheduled for June 13th.

Students check your emails daily for correspondence with your teachers.

Parents and Students we understand the value of education and the importance of students being in school daily. However, these circumstances are out of our control and our number on priority is the safety and well being of our students and staff. CMS is dedicated to providing the best education possible to your student even during the mandated closure. Your student’s teacher or CAPs advisor will be making contact with you tomorrow to ensure your student has the necessary information to continue the learning process at home by utilizing AMI. Teachers will also develop a plan of daily communication with each student during the use of AMI days. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the school tomorrow as teachers will be on staff to assist you.

While Cutter Morning Star District will be closed this week due to COVID-19 we will be offering breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 and younger at no charge. Because of the late notice of school closure we will be delivering breakfast and lunch to the homes of all of students that are currently bus riders. Those that are not bus rider can do a “drive through” pick up at the cafeteria by pulling through the front of the cafeteria. Individuals wanting to participate in the pick up should enter through the high school parking lot, drive between the cafeteria and multipurpose building, pick up their meals in front of the cafeteria building, then exiting between the playground and football field. Pick up and delivery times will be from 7:30 a.m to 8:30 a.m and 11:00 a.m and 12:00 p.m. please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.
