Coach Huff is an incredible science teacher! If you walk into his class, you will find his students doing experiments, growing plants, analyzing DNA, and many other cool projects that our students love! On top of that, he does an amazing job with our Jr. High Girls Basketball program and all of the other sports and responsibilities that he is a part of! Congratulations Coach Huff

Many of you may have seen extra security officers around the campus today. We always have a number of armed security officers on campus. There has not been imminent danger to the district. We are just overly cautious in keeping our faculty and students safe. Thank you for entrusting us to care for your children.

Tomorrow, the school district is taking students to the Dawson Cooperative in Arkadelphia to do an ACT prep session with 11th grade students. As you know, the ACT is the test that most colleges in the state of Arkansas look at to determine admission and scholarships. These sessions have been put together by Cantrell and Waller, a leading test preparation organization and will be very helpful for students looking to improve their scores.
Several more slots have opened up, and we would love to take more students to the ACT prep session. We are going to open up this opportunity to both 10th and 11th grade students. If you would like your student to attend this ACT prep session, Michelle Edgin, our high school counselor, has sent out a permission slip to 10th and 11th graders in their emails. If you cannot print, please send a handwritten letter giving permission. We will leave the school at 8:00 and return to the school by 3:30. Lunch will be provided at no cost.
