FLU CLINIC
Thursday, Nov 2 8am-12pm
Forms have been sent home to your student. Please complete & return them if your student needs their flu shot

Hi parents and students,
This is just a reminder that parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow from 1:00-7:00 PM. At the high school, parents do not need to make an appointment. You can come any time between 1:00-7:00 and meet with your student's teachers. We look forward to seeing you there!
As we come to the end of the first 9 weeks of school, I wanted to take a moment and remind everyone of a few things.
**Speed limit in front of the school is 25 m.p.h, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is set this way because kids are on campus more than just regular school hours.
**By state law a school zone is described as 300 feet past the end of the school property/last building on any road. The exception would be Hwy. 70 that has a fence barricade between it and the school.
**The use of cell phones is prohibited while driving in a school zone. Does not matter if you're holding it to the side or using the speaker and holding it. This includes texting or using the internet (Paul's Law). If you are under the age of 18, you are completely prohibited, by law, from using cell phones while driving. This includes hand free devices.
**Accelerating at a high rate of speed, often called "Jack Rabbit" starts, is considered reckless driving, Statute 27-50-308. This includes accelerating quickly over the speed bumps.
Over the first few weeks I have made several traffic stops in regards to these issues. I am asking everyone to help me with these matters to reduce the chances of a serious accident. If you have any questions, or need references to the traffic laws, please feel free to contact me.

Come out to Atwood’s and support the band!

As the weather turns cold many of our parents find that their children have outgrown their coats and hoodies And most times, those outgrown items are still in good condition. With the expensive cost of everything, we thought it might be helpful to our families if we organized a coat and hoodie “SWAP” here at our school.
It will work like this, during parent/teacher conferences any of our CMS parents may bring any gently used coat and/or hoodie to their conference and drop them in the collection bins at either the elementary school or the high school. (Please note that at the elementary school the bins will have individual grade levels on each. The grade that has the largest number of donations will receive a PIZZA Party!!!!) EPIC volunteers will organize those coats and hoodies by sizes and let parents and students know when they are ready to be swapped.
OR if you aren’t interested in participating in our SWAP but have coats and/or hoodies that will fit our students and you just want to donate those, we will take those too!!! We hope to have plenty of different sizes and options for any student who needs a coat and/or hoodie.
IF you would like to help with our coat and hoodie “SWAP” please either contact
Courtney Post at 870-918-9968 or Terry Lawler at 501-463-7844.

Senior Night for band, cheer, and football is this Friday night on Allen Tillery Field at Eagle Stadium. Parents need to be there promptly at 6:00, in line and ready to start the festivities at 6:15. Please come out and support all of these student athletes in their last event at home! Go Eagles!!
Students were working hard today learning about the scientific process and testing out chemical reactions! It’s hard not to learn when learning is so fun!

We celebrated our elementary custodians yesterday for National School Custodians Day! Thank you, Mr. Dennis and Mr. David, for all you do for our school! We couldn't do this without you!

SCHEDULE CHANGE!!! The VB team WILL travel to Mineral Springs tonight for an away conference VB game starting at 5:00. It will be a JH/V match. Sorry for the confusion and Go Eagles!!
Tonight's VB game is at home against Gospel Light, not away against Mineral Springs. Three games starting at 4:30! Please come out and cheer on your Lady Eagles!!

2023 Yearbooks are in! Seniors '23 that have ordered a book may come and pick it up in the high school office. Haven't bought one but plan to? No problem. We have ordered extra and they are nice! Hurry and get your name on the reserve list because they are going fast at $40.00.
Congratulations to our high school teacher of the month for September, Madeline Bull! Ms. Bull is new to our staff this year but she has already become a part of our eagle family! She is an amazing classroom teacher who is always positive and works tirelessly to help students be successful! She is also our Jr. Beta Club sponsor this year! We are very excited to have her on our Eagle team!

Just a reminder:
Jostens will be at the high school at 10:00 tomorrow to go over cap and gown presentations. All seniors need to be at this meeting. Jostens will return the following Tuesday at 10:00 to take orders for those who are not ordering online.
Mondays are for learning! Our faculty and staff are attending professional development provided by Cook Center for Human Connection. They will all be certified in QPR. We are excited to have these resources to help our students and families.

I love my job because I get to hang out with cool kids. Eagles win big tonight!

Here we go, Eagles!!
