Just a clarification on our attendance policy:
If you are absent, you have five days from the date of return to turn in a parent or doctor's note. Phone calls will not be accepted. See our student handbook for our full attendance policy.
As we approach the closing of our first month of school, the CMS PD would like to remind student drivers, parents, and visitors, that all traffic laws will be enforced on and around campus. The speed limit for our school zone is 25mph, it is unlawful to be on your phone when in a school zone, seat belts must be worn and turn signals must be used, just to name a few. Our officers are all certified in the state of Arkansas as law enforcement officers. This means they have arrest authority and the authority to issue citations under Arkansas traffic law. Along with this, all SROs (School Resource Officers), have statewide jurisdiction under the new LEARNS ACT. Leaving campus or school property will not hinder us from making a traffic stop. Please be aware that our officers will be out patrolling all traffic before, during, and after school. It takes all of us to ensure the safety of the kids at our school. Good Evening Eagle Fans, there are some new policies and procedures, as well as restroom locations in place for football games this season. I am attaching policies, a parking map for games, and a concession stand menu for this season. We are still looking for volunteers to help in the concession stand this year. Due to the shortage of bus drivers bus #19 will be 15 minutes late dropping students off in the afternoons.
Due to the shortage of bus drivers bus # 20 will be 30 minutes late picking up students in the mornings and will be dropping students off 30 minutes later in the afternoon on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Senior Parents and Students:
We will have a senior meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 10:25-11:20 in the high school Choir Room. ALL SENIORS MUST ATTEND. Parents are welcome to attend if they would like. We will be collecting important information and giving them a timeline of events for their senior year including information about college applications, scholarships, and graduation.

Big time congratulations to the Lady Eagles on their 2nd Conference win of the week!! They beat Mtn. Pine last night and Nevada on Monday to improve to 2-0 in conference play! Congratulations to the ladies, and Coach Trusty and Coach Pogue!! Please join us next Tuesday, September 5th as the ladies return home to play Southwest Christian starting at 4:30! Go Eagles!

We don't monkey around with live wires! During the storm last night, a power line fell across our back entry to the Elementary building. Entergy was immediately called and we hope to have the line repaired very soon. Thank you, parents, for making the quick adjustment to the drop off procedure. And a special thanks to all the wonderful staff who came out to help re-route the traffic and get our kids dropped off safely and quickly.
Please be very cautious and follow traffic guards this morning as we re-route traffic. We have a power line down that is disrupting normal traffic flow. Entergy has been contacted and will be on site soon.

Just a friendly reminder that we will be dismissing school today at 3:35 from the elementary and 3:38 at the high school. We will dismiss early every Wednesday at these times. Due to the shortage of bus drivers Bus 19 will be about 30-45 minutes late today. If you know anyone interested in driving a bus please have them contact us. Thank you
CMS Booster Club is looking for volunteers to help at the concession stands this year for football, volleyball, and basketball games. I am attaching links for all 3. Seniors: Tomorrow is Senior Picture Day at the high school arena. Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time that we have discussed in person, by phone, or by email. Most of the appointment cards that were sent out by mail were correct, although a few were not. I have confirmed scheduled times with all seniors planning to have their pictures taken. Don't forget to bring your baby picture or email it to me by tomorrow, along with the $10.00 sitting fee. I have invited the class to fill out the Senior Bio form online, which is due tomorrow, but paper copies will also be available. If you have not filled out the online version, please complete it before our meeting. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
