This month the NHTSA, National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, is raising awareness about speeding. Local agencies have joined the campaign to promote safe driving, mainly regarding speed. As we approach the beginning of the school year, the Cutter Morning Star Police Department will join in the efforts to help reduce speeds in and around our school zone. The speed limit in the school zone is 25 mph year around. This is a posted speed limit and not just for school hours. It is also against the law to be using a handheld device while driving, especially in a school zone. Beginning this week we will be stepping up enforcement on speeding and phone use in our school zone as we prepare for the upcoming year. If pulled over, you will be issued a citation. Please help us promote a safe school environment by obeying all posted speed limits and traffic laws. We look forward to seeing you in August as we kick of a new school year!

July is a special month to celebrate our independence and freedoms. We get to honor those who have served on our behalf and remember their sacrifices.
We can honor those that have fought for our independence and freedoms by striving to be the best versions of ourselves. Parent Coaching is a NO COST resource provided by our school district and ParentGuidance.org that connects you to regularly scheduled meetings with a coach and content created by therapists. Parent Guidance is here to support you throughout the summer with Parent Coaching. Click here to register for ongoing support from a coach: https://cookcenter.info/coaching

We regret to inform you that Cutter Morning Star will not offer the Monday School program for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This program was made possible over the last two years for our elementary school-aged students through a grant, which is no longer available.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for your continued support.

Congratulations to Mrs. Kachera Felts for being chosen as Cutter Morning Star Elementary and Cutter Morning Star School District Teacher of the Year.

With the extended school days and the addition of snow make-up days, we have accumulated more instructional time than required. As a result, we will be dismissing school at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024.
We have greatly enjoyed working with your students this school year and are proud of their accomplishments. We hope you all have a safe, restful, and productive summer break. To help maintain and build on the valuable skills gained this year, we strongly encourage each student to read for at least 20 minutes daily.
Your students have greatly blessed us this year, and we look forward to seeing their smiling faces on August 13, 2024. Please continue to check the school district website and sign up for notifications from our school app to stay updated on any information over the summer.
Have a great summer... Go Eagles!
