Memo: COVID-19 Delta Variant Dear Cutter Morning Star Family:
Cutter Morning Star remains committed to providing a high-quality education for all students. Health, safety, and security will always be our greatest priority for our students and staff. When the 2020-2021 school year ended many educators felt a sense of relief and accomplishment. It was stated numerous times "we survived", what many considered their most challenging year as an educator. As educators approached summer with a somewhat a sense of normalcy; attending professional development sessions, curriculum development and alignment, lesson planning, assessment data desegregation, committee meetings, planning, cleaning, and decorating rooms to be prepared to guide our students to learn and grow while in our care. We were hopeful and excited to see ALL students back in the classroom; where they have the best opportunities to be successful. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is how important our teachers are to student academic achievement.

However, as we approach the 2021-2022 school year, just as we felt we had turned the comer and things were going to be at least more normal than last year we started seeing a new variant of the COVID virus (Delta). With the delta variant, there has been an increase in the number of cases. With the latest data understandable we have concerned families. Unfortunately, like last year the data, information, guidance, etc. will change daily. We can assure you, your child's safety, security, and health will always be our priority. It is our desire to have 100% of our students back in our building learning face to face with our teachers. We are committed to educating and meeting the needs of all students while keeping them safe. As we get more information in the next few weeks we will continue to update information on our website. If you have any concerns regarding your child please feel free to contact us.
