Exciting News! Our Campus Sidewalk is Now Open!
After much anticipation, our new campus sidewalk is officially open for student walkers! (Please note: bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and similar items are not permitted.)
This sidewalk was designed to give students a safe route to walk between buildings without having to use Spring Street. It runs parallel to the elementary campus, on the south side, stretching the full length of the elementary playground and building. A secure fence separates the sidewalk from the playground, ensuring that those walking on the sidewalk do not have access to the playground, and students on the playground remain safely inside the fenced area.
We are thrilled to have addressed the safety concerns for our students—especially our high school students—who previously walked along Spring Street.
This project was made possible through a partnership grant with the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), which funded 80% of the project cost. Cutter Morning Star School District covered the remaining 20%. We are grateful for this partnership and the shared commitment to student safety.
