#toolbox4education

Cutter Morning Star Elementary school wants to thank our friends at Lowe's for generously supporting their outdoor reading project. #Toolbox4Education awarded our school with a $5,000 grant to help fund the CMS Eagles's Reading project. The project included purchasing outdoor reading furniture and the materials to build two pergolas on a 27x 22 concrete patio. The project was actually started a few years ago with raising funds through numerous book fairs and hiring It's His Turf to come and build the concrete patio with a faux rock retaining wall right outside the elementary library. Then Ms. Hughes called for any volunteers that were willing to come donate their time and expertise to put everything together. Parents, grandparents, students, board members along with Ms. Hughes and her husband were able to get it finished after meeting a couple of times throughout the spring and summer of 2019.
