Dear Eagle Basketball Parents and Fans, Due to Covid-19 there will be seating restrictions in almost every gymnasium that we will travel to. Different gyms will have different numbers of seating capacity for visiting fans. For the first week of games at Fountain Lake (11/9) and Abundant Life (11/12), the capacity will be 75 and 50 for each respectively. I know this is tough as many of you have several people that want to attend every game. We are giving two vouchers per every player on both girls and boys teams, if someone doesn’t have anyone that is travelling to the game we try to give out the extras on a first come first serve basis. After this first week we will leave any extra vouchers in the high school office and try to give an updated number as soon we know from other schools. The good news is that we will have no restrictions here at Eagle Arena so bring all that you want and come enjoy a fantastic year in our new gym! If you have any questions, please contact Coach Brickell at 501-538-7360. Thank you and Go Eagles!!
We have been given 100 vouchers for the football game tomorrow night. If anyone wishes to attend the game they will have to have a voucher at the gate to get in. You can contact Coach Kinsinger or the HIgh School office tomorrow.

Memo: From the Superintendent To: Cutter Morning Star Community 8-20-2020 This morning, Cutter Morning Star was notified that Cutter-Morning Star community boundaries are labeled as one of the 18 COVID hot spots in Arkansas. I want to take this opportunity to inform you of the COVID-19 statistics related to our staff and students. Two staff members have tested positive over the summer and were quarantined and have fully recovered. One of those two members was not present on campus. To my knowledge zero students have tested positive. The state has determined our area to be a hot spot due to cases in the community boundaries, not the school district specifically. We plan to continue with the start of school Monday, August 24th and are so excited to see our students. We are following recommended CDC cleaning guidelines and can assure you our campus will be sanitized and as safe as possible. Our priority is to provide a safe learning environment for all students. Please review our Ready for Learning Plan on our website. Feel free to contact our district with any questions. Go Eagles! We are trying to fine-tune tomorrow’s (Tuesday, March 31st) process for parents to pick up this week’s AMI packets and drop off their students’ completed packets for the week of March 16th. IF you can receive this week’s packets electronically, please let your child’s teacher know. You may also send the work back to us electronically. Email any of your student’s teachers for assistance. IF you want/need a hardcopy then our school will be open tomorrow (Tuesday, March 31st) from 7:30 am-3:30 pm. When you enter our High School go to each of your student’s classrooms. You can pick up your weekly AMI copies at each of our teacher’s classroom doors. There will also be an empty container there where you can drop off your student’s completed packet from the week of March 16th. PLEASE REMEMBER TO STAY 6 FEET AWAY FROM OTHERS. AND, ONLY ONE PERSON PER FAMILY SHOULD COME INTO THE BUILDING. Our teachers have worked hard to try to make these packets a reasonable amount that students can do with limited instruction. Please encourage your child to do the best they can but we don’t want our students or you to stress out over what we have asked your child to do. However, we will be checking each student’s work to give credit for completing their work. IF you have any questions or concerns you may email or DoJo your child’s classroom teacher OR call our office at 501-262-2414 Option 2. IF you have requested a Chromebook either through your child's classroom teacher OR our office, the Chromebook will be ready for you to sign-out in front of our office. We will need you to please sign for those because we will be required to account for each of those. Based on feedback from parents and teachers, we will be doing a Tuesday to Tuesday pick up and drop off. Therefore, you will NOT need to drop off your child’s completed packet for this week until Tuesday, April 7th. Report cards for the third nine weeks will be mailed to each student’s home address at the end of this week. Please be watching for those, Breakfast and lunch meals for students will continue this week on Monday-Friday. Pick up will be from 9:30-11:30 am in front of our cafeteria. We will also continue our meal delivery for our students who need those delivered. Thank you for your patience and understanding (and prayers) as we try to figure out how to continue to provide home based instruction for all of our students. We want to be as flexible and accommodating as possible so please let us know how we can make this process work better for your family. Take care and stay well!
Students check your emails daily for correspondence with your teachers.

While we have not experienced any health-related challenge with COVID-19, we do know that the flu is still prevalent in our state. We are taking this opportunity to review and share some of our health emergency protocols.

Good morning. Cutter Morning Star school district is currently on a “practice lockdown”. No students or staff are in danger. This practice lockdown serves two purposes. First, it gives staff and students an opportunity to practice our emergency plan. Secondly, it gives the administration and local law enforcement an opportunity to complete a district wide search using trained dogs for any dangerous or unsafe items on campus. Thank you for your cooperation. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
Thanks to our HS Parents for helping provide lunch to our High School Staff today! We appreciate your support!
Parents: Information for checking your student’s grades on line through HAC is being sent home to parents today. Let our office or Mrs. Coats know if you have any questions. Thank you! TL

The Senior Beta Club from Cutter Morning Star High School sent eight of its members to State Convention on Friday, January 25, 2019, along with their sponsor, Ms. Miranda Welch. National Beta Club is an honor society for high school students who have exceptional grades and exemplary behavior. Every year National Beta holds its Arkansas State Convention in Hot Springs at the Hot Springs Convention Center. All members participated in various competitions. The students did exceptionally well in their competitions, but one student received recognition for his high achievement. Colby Heaton, an 11th grade member, scored fifth in the state in the social studies division, which is enough to take him to National Convention in June. Mrs. Vicki Philipp, high school history teacher at CMS, spoke highly of Colby, stating: “Colby has been an “A” social studies student during his time at CMS High/Junior High. He keeps up with current events and is able to relate past and present events. Colby is very involved with athletics and is an integral part of the CMS High basketball team, As President of the Junior Class, Colby has been involved with projects helping CMS move forward to a new high school building, He is a strong participant in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and in his Church. Colby is a well rounded young man who represents CMS High School in an outstanding way!” This was an amazing and fun experience for all involved and the students cannot wait to do it again next year.
